windows and doors is an authorized dealer for manufacturers of
quality windows, door and other home components. many of the
manufacturers they represent do not sell direct to the public, and
so provide a search box on their website to find a dealer. the
dealer list also provides links to the dealer websites. it was
extremely important to them to have an internet presence so that
potential customers could find them online and readily see what
product lines they carry. we designed an elegant site with
easy navigation and beautiful imagery of homes and commercial
buildings that incorporates the lines of products they represent.
this opens the door for online shoppers, both building professionals
and individuals, to browse their site and become potential
customers. |

residential developments. bright colors and a FLASH movie add

make a decision to list their home or for a potential home buyer to
see the homes that are available. links to home developments are
included in the site. additional links provide access to
information about the city, schools, etc. |

to bring the warm, natural hues along with the sense of style to the

representation the firm offers. it was also designed to create
confidence in the law firm and to provide answers to questions that
those facing certain types of legal involvement may ask.

THE MARTINI SPOT
the martini
spot is an upscale martini bar that is located near an intersection
with us highway 98 that has one of the highest traffic counts in the
state. the owners wanted the website to have a refined look
that would enhance their brand and that would be appealing to their
clientele. the design includes a flash intro and a smooth jazz
music file that loops continuously while the visitor is viewing the
site. the design is also viewable in a special pocket pc
version with active links. additional imagery will be added to
include photos of the 50 martinis and gourmet bar menu items.
the site incorporates the same brilliant colors utilized in the
clubs logo and decor.

the hattiesburg
area association of realtors is a dynamic organization made up of
over 400 real estate professionals from the hattiesburg area and
beyond. the website was designed to help make the group more
cohesive and to give them the opportunity to interact and to be
aware of upcoming events, legislative issues, state and national
association news, real estate trends and to also offer real estate
items in an online store. it features a 'members only' area as
well as information on joining the association. flash movies
and a bright color scheme are incorporated into the design to
provide interest. a tiered navigation scheme facilitates the
70+ pages in the website.

WALNUT CIRCLE GRILL
walnut circle grill is a five star restaurant located
in historic downtown hattiesburg. their goal was to have
a dynamic website created for them that would reflect the atmosphere
of their restaurant and attract customers. the site we
designed combines FLASH animation and a music player to create an
elegant entry into the website, which includes a FLASH movie on the
inside, a scrolling dual-tab calendar and color-rich treatment to
match their decor. there is also a sign-up box for their
newsletter which promotes weekly entertainment, including live piano
in the restaurant during dinner and various artists in their outdoor
arboretum/patio.

asbury
united methodist church is a dynamic, active church in full use of
active media and technology. it was important for them that
their web presence reflected the enthusiastic incorporation of
technology in their congregation. this site was designed using
vivid colors and active graphics, including a flash movie on the
home page. intuitive navigation was also incorporated to
provide easy access to the dimensions of ministry they offer.
photo albums, a member login area, staff login to update
announcements, staff blogs and membership database upload form are
included in the finished site.

maximum lot sizes, price ranges and availability.

company builds upscale residential developments. after a
thorough analysis of their needs, it was determined that separate
websites should be built for each of their residential developments,
but that would be housed under a corporate website. the

experience is, what they are doing now as a company and what they
are offering to the public.

real estate is an independently owned real estate office serving six
south mississippi counties. they requested a web presence that
reflected their market niche of being owned and staffed by local
agents from the area. we decided to go with a tri-color design
to match their logo, with the goal of keeping the design clean and
easily navigable. information was added to provide site
visitors with information about buying a home as well as other
useful information. links were provided to area
municipalities, counties, and the state of mississippi, including
city and county maps and traffic counts.

jody's bakery
has a surprisingly broad customer base, especially when it comes to
king cake, a mardi gras season specialty, and other of their baked
goods. they wanted to create a professional site that
would provide site visitors with the delicious bread and dessert
items they bake fresh daily, as well as to provide information on
their catering division. what we achieved is a light and
fluffy site that speaks volumes on the delightfulness of american
specialty desserts, for which they are so well know. the site
is still in development and will have more added as soon as their
busy king cake season concludes in the spring.

leasemaint.com offers online apartment management for maintenance
and other administrative tasks. they wanted a clean and crisp
static website that could be easily navigated by site visitors and
members with little or no distractions. we created this site
using mild blue undertones accented by moderately colored photos to
create interest and to enhance the product features showcased on the
site. members will access this site through a secure login
area and will be able to enter unit and tenant information, as well
as appliance warranty and other pertinent information necessary for
routine maintenance. the site offers many automated functions
and maintenance tracking for ease of use, as well as reporting and
backup features via the backend database.

"eaglepalooza" is a downtown
music fest that was designed to welcome students from the University
of Southern Mississippi into hattiesburg's downtown area.
eaglepalooza began in 2004 and has become an annual event.
the website was created to provide a promotional outlet for the
event and to create excitement. vivid colors and imagery were
used to blend the effect of stage lighting with the colorful photos
taken at the concert. complete with concert schedule, band and
concert photos and artist bios, the website will set the stage for
the event next year, inviting visitors to suggest a band and to
enter to win a chance to go backstage and meet the bands.
students are invited to submit their own concert photos.
additional functionality will be added, including a bulletin board.
the site also features a FLASH intro and music player with music
from each of the bands.

i did not
design this site, but i recovered it, updated it, made it a
functioning site and published it. my client's website
had been 'down' for some time. after following leads they
provided, i found the website developer who had created this site
and got him to send me a copy. i then cleaned up the links,
navigational structure and images, refreshed the content and
published the site to hotelalice.com. i liked the design and
saw no point in spending my client's budget to create a new site
when they had already paid to have a site created. by
refurbishing their old site, they were able to reallocate dollars
budgeted for web design for print materials and other outlets that we
will pursue next. |

an example of a very basic web presence created primarily to provide
contact information and some visual examples of the company's work.
they specialize in building customized tiki huts as well as outdoor

page in this site is a photo gallery with enlargeable thumbnails of
actual projects the company has completed. the same imagery
and colors was utilized in the oversize promotional cards we created
for them and they are enjoying great success in the jackson area as

FLASH movies, 12 pages and Paypal for the sale of t-shirts and yard
signs, which we did the artwork for, and campaign donations.
We then did a media blitz with a press release sent to local
and national news media. by putting him on our exclusive 'fast

elements in their overall design. the group plans to
administer the site in-house and is set up to continue development
on the site as their firm grows. by training them to do this,
they will have full control of future developments on the site.

rentals in the area. the site is powered by a backend database
that enables queries and searches of available properties.
their staff was provided secure access to the site so that they can
update the properties in-house.

workout facility. in reviewing their marketing plan, i found
that they wanted to clearly appeal to the general public and not
just to the serious body buiders. they also wanted alot of
photos to show off their new multi-million dollar facility. we
were able to create a dynamic website that not only showcases the
building structure, but the wide range of people in the community
that anatomies serves. the site currently utilizes two flash
movies and over one hundred photographs taken in and around the
club. a music player was added offering samples of music from
their popular group fitness classes.

with the growing popularity of social networking, it was an obvious
move whose time had come. myspace provides so many
communication capabilities and offers them all at no charge.
the networking and social opportunities are endless and it's just a
fun place. tools are available now to make profile design
do-able even to the technically challenged. in addition to the
business benefits, i am really enjoying the experience and recommend
it to anyone to try.

Eaglepalooza on

eaglepalooza is a downtown music fest that was designed to welcome
students from the university of southern mississippi into
hattiesburg's downtown area. it began in 2004 and has become an
annual event. sponsored by usm's student government
association, eaglepalooza traditionally draws crowds of up to 10,000
students who are treated to a free concert by nationally known acts.
although we had already published a traditional website, we decided

and sounds from last year's event to create excitement about the
2006 event. artists for the new event will be announced on
myspace via a mass bulletin to all of the networked friends, which
numbered over 100 in the first 24 hours. exponential growth is
predicted as networked friends tell their friends to 'add
eaglepalooza' to their networks with all the workings of an
explosive grassroots effort. after creating the profile, it
was handed off to the sga so that the students could maintain the
site and add new designs. |
